Data Retail · global shopping-centre register

10,609 shopping centres in 141 countries. Every figure traced to where we read it.

You sell to shopping centres: parking, fit-out, media, services, new store openings. Before the first call you need to know which centres exist, where they are, who owns them and how to reach their leasing team. Retail Prospect is that list, built one sourced value at a time.

What is filled in, region by region

Coverage is uneven, and we would rather show it than hide it. Counts are centres with at least one sourced value for the field.

* Includes the 104 centres whose country is still in review. GLA comes only from landlord reports; a declared or total floor area is never relabelled as GLA.

1,384

Owner named

From landlord portfolios and Wikidata. Private individuals are excluded.

951

Leasing door

A leasing page or leasing contact published by the centre itself.

523

Tenant lists

Store-by-store directories read from the centres' own websites.

1,977

Published contact

Emails and phone numbers the centre publishes. No personal data bought from brokers.

402

The manager, where it differs from the owner.

162

Annual visits

Footfall with its period. Daily figures stay daily, never multiplied by 365.

How a centre gets in

A name in a listing is not enough. A centre joins the register only when two independent sources agree that it exists.

  1. A centre needs a Wikidata identity, or a place listing confirmed by a second source: its own website under the same name, or a landlord report.
  2. Each value keeps its source URL, the excerpt we read, the collection date and, when the source gives it, the reference period.
  3. Values are copied as published, with their unit. No estimates, no conversions passed off as source data.
  4. Two records that might be the same centre are reviewed by hand, never merged automatically.
  5. Every new batch is checked on a random sample of 50 values against the source before it enters the register. Above 2% errors, the batch is rejected.

What the file does not contain

No named decision-makers, no vacancy or rent data, no buying intent. Coverage of GLA and footfall is still thin outside listed landlords.

The register is large, not complete. Nobody publishes a reliable count of the world's shopping centres, so we do not claim one.

Who buys it

Parking & mobility

Find large sites with published parking capacity.

Fit-out & services

Target by size, store count and owner.

Media & activation

Start from centres that publish footfall.

Retail expansion

Go straight to the leasing page.

Before you pay

Check the sources yourself on a free sample.

Same columns, same proof as the paid file. If the sourcing does not meet your bar, do not buy.
